Overview
Hi there, My name is Steven Rosen. I'm a Brooklyn-based photographer who has spent 25 years capturing LGBTQ+ love stories across New York City.As a gay man, my involvement in marriage equality goes far beyond photography. I volunteered with Marriage Equality USA from 2004, photographing protests and fundraisers and providing images for their campaigns. When same-sex marriage became legal in New York State in 2011, I was at the Manhattan Marriage Bureau on the first day, offering my services for free to couples who had waited years for this moment. I photographed eight weddings that day.Since then I've photographed over 250 LGBTQ+ weddings, elopements, proposals, and celebrations, working with lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and non-binary couples from across the United States and around the world. Many came to New York specifically because they could be fully and legally themselves here. I've covered NYC Pride events for Heritage of Pride for over a decade, photographed the NYC Drag March for years, and done portrait work for the Imperial Court of New York, one of the city's oldest LGBTQ+ charitable organizations. I'm a trusted name in queer wedding photography in New York City.My work has appeared in The New York Times, CNN, and New York Magazine. Award-winning. Five star rated across more than 160 reviews. LGBTQ+ photographer and ally. All couples welcome.
